HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
St. Patrick’s Day
It is a global celebration of Irish culture on or around March 17. It particularly remembers St. Patrick, one of Ireland’s patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century. So many legends surround his life that the truth is not easily found. His real name is believed to be Maewyn Succat and he took on the name Patrick upon becoming a priest.

Why is St. Patrick’s day green?
Green is the color of a shamrock, a symbol of Ireland known as the Emerald Isle because of its lush vegetation. And traditional Irish legend held that wearing green made you invisible to leprechauns. Regardless of the reason, the world unites around the color green on St. Patrick’s Day.
